Tish Canniffe works in her own studio in Bandon producing floor rugs and large tapestries, which she sells through exhibitions and as commissioned pieces. Her bold designs are inspired by nature and the landscape of West Cork, and reflect her love of texture. She weaves with natural fibres and materials using traditional techniques to create contemporary work. She has recently become interested in using recycled clothes and fabrics which when combined with wool create unusual colour effects and textures within the weaving.
